Skill N Success (“we”, “us”) runs skillnsuccess.com and publishes digital playbooks and career resources, including Rooted & Rising, The Dealer Network Playbook, Germany Work-Ready and Break Into Chip Design. Skill N Success is operated by Debasis Panda in India. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Sign-up and lead forms, on our website or in a Facebook or Instagram lead form (Instant Form): your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, and any answers you choose to give, such as your state or interest.
- Purchases: your name, email and phone number, and order details. Payments are handled by Razorpay or Gumroad. We never see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.
- Career assessments: the answers you enter in our assessment tools and the plan generated from them.
- Messages you send us by email or WhatsApp.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data such as browser type, device, pages visited, the link or ad that brought you to us (for example UTM tags), and approximate location from your IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel (to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads) and Google Analytics (to understand site usage). See section 5.
2. How we use your information
- To send you what you requested, such as a free starter chapter, a purchased playbook or a reservation confirmation.
- To contact you about that product by email, phone or WhatsApp, including launch updates and offers you signed up for.
- To process payments, deliver downloads and provide support.
- To generate your personalised career plan when you use an assessment.
- To measure and improve our website and advertising.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations and to prevent fraud or misuse.
We process your information on the basis of your consent (for example when you submit a form) and for the legitimate uses permitted by law. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 7).
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Skill N Success, and only for the purposes above:
- Meta Platforms: Facebook and Instagram ads, lead forms and the Meta Pixel.
- Google: Google Analytics.
- Razorpay and Gumroad: payments and digital delivery.
- Render: website hosting and our database.
- Anthropic: AI processing of assessment answers to generate your career plan.
- Email and messaging tools we use to contact you.
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order or a government authority.
4. Where your information is stored
Some of our service providers store data on servers outside India, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on these providers’ own security and privacy safeguards.
5. Cookies and ad tracking
Cookies and pixels help us see which ads and pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also control ad personalisation in your Facebook / Instagram Ad Preferences and Google Ad Settings. Blocking cookies will not stop you using our site.
6. How long we keep it
We keep lead and contact details for as long as you stay subscribed or until you ask us to delete them. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require. Assessment data is kept while your account is active. Data we no longer need is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights and choices
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws, you can:
- ask what personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or update it;
- ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent;
- stop marketing messages at any time: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or reply STOP on WhatsApp;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf;
- raise a complaint with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India if it is not resolved.
To make a request, contact us using the details in section 10. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and restricted access to our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires it.
9. Children
Our products are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
